1. NON-RESIDENT GUJARATI BHAVAN AT AHMEDABAD

    The NRG Bhavan not only provides clean, safe, comfortable accommodation at reasonable tariffs, it also has an Information Center & Audio-visual Room. The Information Center houses interesting & valuable information on all aspects of Gujarat-its' rich heritage of art, literature and culture; prevailing on industrial scene & future plans like Vision 2010; useful details about tourism/travels etc. There is a small but rich library of books, CDs & Videos which also provides valuable information on varied subjects, such as Narmada Yojana, Gokul Gram Yojana, Kalpsar, Information Technology, Infrastructural Development of the State, Agro Vision etc. There are a number of displays high-lighting the arts & crafts of Gujarat.

  2. GUJARAT CARD INTRODUCED

    GUJARAT CARD INTRODUCE The Gujarat State Non-Resident Gujarati's Foundation (NRG Foundation) is issuing GUJARAT CARD to the Non-Resident Gujaratis outside India. Such cardholders would get special attention from the Gujarat Government agencies while dealing with them. In addition, the cardholders would not only be in a position to avail of the facilities of the NRG Bhavan set up by the NRG Foundation, but could also be able to avail of several rebates/discounts on purchases etc. being negotiated by the NRG Foundation.

  3. CHARTER OF FRIENDSHIP

    CHARTER OF FRIENDSHIPAs a part of the process of establishing and maintaining live contact with the Non-Resident Gujaratis outside the country, the Gujarat State Non-Resident Gujarati's Foundation (NRG Foundation) is signing CHARTER OF FRIENDSHIP with the various Gujarati Samajs/Associations all over the world. The NRG Foundation has already signed Charter of Friendship with several Gujarati Samajs/Associations in the United States of America/United Kingdom.

  4. Gujarati Language Support Projects

    Gujarati Language Support Projects The NRI Division/NRG Foundation is devoloping a CD-Rom for self-teaching Gujarati Language. This would be specifically useful to those who have not received any formal training in Gujarati Language.

  5. The Central Board of Excise & Customs Department of Revenue has issued a Citizens Carter wherein it has been specifically provided that
    1. Passengers can walk through customs expecting courtesy, fairness and consideration.
    2. Baggage of international passengers will opened only after explaining the reasons and in their presence.
    3. We will help in repacking baggage if we have made you unpack them.
    4. We will explain the reasons if we need to search you and offer out own search before it.

    The Officers at the Airport are strictly abiding to the Citizens Chart

    It may also be mentioned that a special counter at Airport has been made operative exclusively for attending senior citizens. disabled handicapped and single lady passengers on priority basis

NRG District CommitteesThe Government has formed NRG committees in the following districts of the State of Gujarat for resolving any problems/issues faced by the Non-Resident Gujaratis, included those related their property/land in the native place in Gujarat. Non-Resident Gujaratis can directly contact the Member Secretary of the committee of the concerned district or can get in touch with the N.R.I.
